Hi.
I dont know if its anything out of the ordinary.. but
my car seems to make a 'Roaring' sound especially at higher
revs but even when cruising you can always seem to here it over the stereo..
and it doesnt seem normal. and then sometimes it will be alot faster in one gear from
a certain speed than it will other days from the same gear and speed..
and the Roaring gets huge at high speeds and it makes me think it
wouldnt even be able to get past 140kms/h. and ive herd of people doing 210+ on TE magnas
so im a bit worried somethings wrong... it has 185000 on the Clock. Any suggestions on what it
could be? and do you think it would be worth going and getting it looked at?

I see your car is a manual....how does the clutch feel?,may be its slipping.

i think that's a possibility, when i shift from 1st to second i change like any other gear which is fine but
as i take my foot off it the whole car kicks forward even when i shift slowly.. but would that explain the
sound it makes?

rooted muffler/hole in piping, wheel bearings?,if the car kicks when the clutch is released ,this would indicate its grabbing instead of flaring, which it would do if it`s slipping,so maybe not clutch, but who knows, could be gears etc, check the lot!

could be wheel bearings, i had a funny sound like that in my old '92 pulsar and it turned out the bearings were shot on the front left wheel.
