I need to lower my car but I CANNOT find lowering springs for Diamantes to save my life! I'm looking for at least a 1.5" -2.0" in the front. The back I don't need much more than maybe an inch. Please let me know what website or something for me to find springs. Thanks.

some people compress their springs to drop it a little bit, but the majority of people i've spoken to say not to do it because it makes it rougher.
maybe coil over springs? have you tried sourcing them?

compressing the springs generally makes the spring softer because the spring rate doesnt change from before. for instance, compressing a superlow spring will be significantly stiffer than compressing a standard spring.
you can however, have them reset. this is, compressed and raise the spring rate. im not sure on the process of this however.
op you could always go to coilovers, or if you definately want springs, go around to local workshops and find out what springs they use.
alternately, you could always used airbags;)

Coilovers are so damn expensive here. I've heard Galant springs will fit a Diamante. Any truth to this?

Some info on resetting springs, on a 3rd Gen no less:

Personally i would just buy lowering springs made for the car or get custom made springs
K-Mac (www.k-mac.com.au) is in Australia but ship internationally. I don't know if they will have to measure and custom make something for you or identify the vehicle and get something 'off the shelf' but it's an option for you.
I'm sure there would be a similar place in the U.S. that custom makes springs and other suspension components - Are there any large after market motor shows like SEMA anywhere near you? I've gone to IT Expos and learned about heaps of new computer stuff :) maybe you could find some contacts that way, or else contact some tuning shops from the phone book - tell them you aren't local but have heard lots of good things about them and hope they can help you find some springs, hehe, sucking up doesn't hurt normally.
