Hi guys, a while ago i bought a set of JVC CS-HX637 6.5" front speakers off Righty i believe. Anyway, im a massive noob - so i need some help.

1. Will they fit in the front with no/minimal modification.
2. What do i need?
3. How the hell do i take the door trims off?
4. Thanks.

Cheers guys.

Should be in car audio but meh
To take the tirm off theres 3 screws that need to come out, one in the aircon vent (round circle that butts to the dash), one behind the door handle (also have to slide the surround out, push towards the front of the car then towards you) and the others in the fingure grip behind a cover (small flat head screwdriver would do the trick)
Have you got manual windows? if so you'll need either the tool from repco or supercheap to remove the clip or get a rag and a flathead screwdriver and try to push apart the clip, be careful when removing the clip or as known the jesus clip as they like to fly off
Auto windows are much easier as you just unplug the harness on the back of the trim
Now feel the bottom of the door and you should feel alittle gap which will give you enough grip to pull the trim off, start from here and just keep pulling the trim towards you, they are only clipped on
Also it is much easier I have found to take the trim off with the window down

Now to the speaker, depending on the depth of the speaker theres a good chance it might hit the window
You can either make a spacer so it clears or make up a MDF baffle plate, you will also need to redrill the holes for the new speaker so you can screw it to the baffle plate
For the wiring grab some flat blade fittings from repco or supercheap so you can crimp these onto the wire
Cut off the old harness that clips onto the speaker then crimp on the blade bits, make sure you put these on right or they'll come off easy
I normally wrap some electrical tape around them to hold it abit better

Thanks dude, woops yeah should be in car audio!

Yeah i have power windows. Ok so here are the specs off the site:
Type: 3-Way Coaxial
Power Handling Capacity Peak: 230W (Peak)
Power Handling Capacity RMS: 40W (RMS)
Twin Roll Butyl Rubber Edge: Yes
Midrange: Pulpcone: Yes
Midrange: Free Edge: Yes
Tweeter Size: 1.2cm
Tweeter: Poly-Ether Imide Dome: Yes
Tweeter: Poly-Ether Imide Balanced: -
Tweeter: Neodymium Magnet: -
General Mounting Depth: 44 mm

Im guessing that mounting depth is what im looking at. Ok so i will definitely need to re-drill the holes?

Cheers dude, I might just get out there, take the door trims off, and work out wtf im doing:)

Easy way to know is to just measure the speaker depth then once the factory speaker is out put your window all the way down (should already be down before the trim comes off) and see how much you got
I think it should fit no worries as I think my splits woofer is deeper
You will need to redrill the holes yes, very easy to do
All you need is a drill and a 3mm bit, very easy
The trims easy to take off too, once you figure it out you'll be like wow that was easy
