I have just noticed that my rear rocker cover is leaking. When I take the intake manifold off to replace the gasket I figured I may as well change the spark plugs. I'm a little confused as to what type of plug I should be using.

I was looking at Bosch Platinums (FR-7-DPX). How do they rate and how many KM's are they good for? I will be replacing all six plugs.

Also, would it be worth replacing the leads? Car has done 160k.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest NGK plugs, they seem to have a better rep than Bosch

rear plugs are platinum plug part number is PFR5J-11
front ones are standard plugs (copper) part number is BKR5E-11

** part number provided are for NGK plugs **

Yeah, after reading a few other threads it looks like NGK's are the way to go.

Thanks for the part numbers mate.

NKG Iridium plugs are BKR5EIX-11. Can be had for ~$65 delivered from eBay USA.
