Anyone else had this problem where whenever the engine is started, the kids dvd player turns off and back on. It is connected to the standard front power socket. Not sure if the power socket can be wired differently so this won't happen. Bit of pain as the movie restarts when in happens. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Same thing happens with factory bluetooth in a 380.
Disconnects when you start the engine then reconnects.

My radar does this too! (Does the self test startup sequence when in on/acc and then when engine is actually started it does the self test again!)
Have no idea how to fix it...

This is fairly normal, you can set up most dvd players to resume from the last position

Not sure if I have that feature on my cheap dvd player. Will check it out. Any other ideas anyone?

wire it to a constant 12v supply direct from the battery +ve terminal, problem solvered!,only problem i see is if the volts drop below a certain figure due to starter pulling current even when wired directly, put a meter on it and find out once done!
