I am looking at getting some decent audio gear for my TJ (Not competition spec).

I have always had Pioneer and what makes it even better I can get some personal products at waaaaaaaaay below cost as I have direct access to a Rep for pricing.

So far I have locked in a AVH-P4150DVD head unit = http://www.pioneer.com.sg/storefront2/ProductDetail/default.asp?ProductId=662&CatId=28

I am also looking at a sub....not sure If i want a single 10 or a 12...have had twin 12's before and it was insane.

I want to upgrade my fronts and will probably leave the rears as standard fill.

I am no audio nut and don't really know alot about combos etc but want to learn a bit more.

Sub Maybe a - TS-W308d4? = http://www.audiocom.com.au/d10/pioneer-ts-w308d4-30cm-12-subwoofer/

Amp Maybe a - GM-D8400m? = http://www.ryda.com.au/Pioneer-GM-D8400M-Mono-Car-Amplifier-p/gmd8400m.htm

Fronts Maybe - TS C171PRS? = http://completecarsound.com.au/component/page,shop.product_details/category_id,17/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,29/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,63/vmcchk,1/

Any feedback would be great.

PM me some of your pricing, I'm interested to know how the costs compare to my gear.

If you can get Pioneer products at way below cost, and you aren't looking for a be-all and end-all system, I'd stick with them.

Spec-wise the sub and amp are a good choice, since you can wire the sub for a 2 ohm load.

What about an amp for the front splits? I wouldn't run a decent set of splits like that off the headunit.

Yeah i was thinking they splits might be overkill.

Maybe replace them with ts-a1702c? = http://www.ryda.com.au/Pioneer-TS-A1702C-Car-Speakers-p/tsa1702c.htm

I wasnt going to run an amp on my speakers unless i went for a 4 channel sub amp or something. U reckon go some splits or go for some 3 ways in the front?

ok..... Looks like I will be purchasing the following for my TJ.

AVH-P4150DVD - Head unit/dvd
TS-W308d4 - Sub in box
GM-D8400m - Amp for Sub
ts-a1702c - Fronts

Leaving Rears standard for fill and I will install the tweeters into the 4" slots in the front near the windscreen...maybe use a dremmel to cut out a slot....Anyone put tweeters in the 4" spot plugs before?

Depending on sound quality coming from the fronts I might but a 2 channel Amp to run the fronts at a later date.

Head unit will be here in a few weeks and the Sub/Amp/Fronts just after xmas when funds permit.

Should be a decent setup when done.

Plan is to buy a 500gb Portable USB powered HDD and mount it in the glove box to provide endless DivX and Mp3's and Jpegs etc to the HU.
