How many K's per tank you getting? I get around 500+ out of a tank if I drive chill. 400ish if I take off hard at lights etc.

What kind of consumption figures are we talking here? In comparison to other large family cars (ie. Commodore/Falcon) the Magna is actually quite good on fuel. I have a 3lt TH auto with almost 290,000km and my figures are:

Highway - 7.1-8.1L/100km
Hwy/City Combined - 9.0L/100km
City - 9.7-10.4L/100km
"Spirited" driving - 11.5L/100km

This is on 95ron fuel as I was getting poor results (+1.5-2L/100km) on 91ron/E10 fuel.

If the consumption rate is any higher then about 14L/100km I would suggest having it checked out, it could be a burnt out o2 sensor or various other causes can cause bad consumption.

THis can be a hard one to lock down but check the following

Vac leaks
MAF sensor
o2 sensor
Exhaust Leaks
Dist, cap and rotor
Leads
Crank Case Ventilation

This is where you start, also how many k's on the car, how is your trans in so far as slippage and flaring etc

On a last note, you may want to actually measure litres per fill as you may be filling a tank that has a lot more fued in it than you realise if your sender is playing up
