AlanJ has some cams in the pipeline. You can read about them here. Also DaveTJ has some in the pipeline as well. But if you can find a set of Ralliart cams (7) or 380 cams (15) then that will give you a nice gain and flesh out the power delivery of your engine (Best done with an ECU reflash). The Ralliarts and 380 cams are identical.

They all fit! Cam choice depends on what characteristics you want your engine to have. Like if you have a 3.5 with a 4 speed auto you would aim for more low down torque but a 3.5 manual maybe some more at the top end. Also, its advisable to get the ECU reflashed or a piggy back installed so you can make the most of the cam upgrade.

I can only advise on what i have had done to my car. I had a gain of 7 kw at the wheels with the 380 cams fitted after the ECU flash. My guess is thats about 10 to 12kw at the engine. The main difference is mine now pulls cleanly all the way to 6300. And, the power curve is nice and flat making approx 140kw at 3900 and still producing 140kw at 5700 and only tapering off ever so slightly to 6300.
If you are lucky you might be able to find a set of low km 380 cams for $400 ish. I priced new ones at Mistu and they were $800 for a pair (with my discount). I am unable to comment on the costs of any other cams that are available for sale.

Not quite correct. These are actually Graham Bell's cams. I did some work with Graham fitting them and endurance testing a few months ago. They are going very well with no loss of fuel economy, a touch better than stock, and there is a good power gain without any remapping of the ECU. Graham has just has had a batch of valve springs made and cams done. I went over to the coast and got the last set of cams he had available fitted to my AWD last week. He did my heads too with modified chambers, reprofiled valves, ported/enlarged secondary ports and filled primarys and filled lower inlet manifold. It was about a 1500km run back home to the property and the car runs so much better. As I noted when we were durability testing the experimental set in Graham's car, the car feels like it could do with another gear or taller 5th gear it runs along so well.
Graham has sent off more cams to be done. If you want details email me and I'll pass it to Graham.
I checked last year with Mitsubishi for 380 cams and they were $560 each. That was trade, not sure about full retail. Graham's cams with valve springs and modified sprockets are about $1450, but Aus$ to Euro and US$ exchange rates can affect that.
Cheers,
Alan
