When I was across at Graham's getting my cams fitted and heads ported his rear window brake light dropped off on one side. We epoxied it back in place but in the process discovered that his rear glass was loose and could be pushed out easily. I checked my AWD and its the same. Is this normal? Most modern cars have the glass fused/glued in to add to body stiffness. Maybe Magnas are different?

Graham had been complaining about a suspension squeak. He was thinking it was his rear dampers or anti-roll bar bushes. I'm thinking it might be the glass seal squeaking against the body as the body flexes.

Cheers,
Alan

Rear glass creak is a known problem on Magna's. Has the adhesive hardened or is it still slightly rubbery? You might need to get them resealed if its hardened.

yeah, im going to get a quote from O'brians for new rear glass and new front glass. Rear is creaking, trim is peeling and tint is crap. Front has a nasty chip/crack. always bloody money with cars :(

Do you have your windows insured? I found that out the hard way with my last car when i had to replace both front and rear windows in about 3 weeks of each other. Cost a good $800 in total.... paid $700 for the car originally.

Then i got my magna and got the windows on the insurance and just my luck i had a stone chip it. Paying the $80 a year is definately worth putting on your insurance
