Hi Everyone. Just bought a tranny cooler for my KJ Verada and am wondering where the best place to fit it would be. I have been recommended to pull off the front bumper and mount it somewhere there out of the way but am wondering if there is another way to mount it where it will be effective without having to take off the bumper. Also if I do take off the bumper does anyone know how hard or long it is to do and what(if anything) to look out for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

most people mount theirs in front of the condenser, either screwed down or cable tied down.

depends on how big your cooler is?

I had to take off my bumper when I went throguh the locust plagues of NSW. The car stank.

It is pretty easy just remember that have a push stud left over doesn't seem to effect the function of the bumper:D

Just think logically about which bit to take off first and have a good look around for what is holding what bits on. (The lights come out after the bumper is off)
Get the workshop manual that is available that will help with learning how the grill clips work but you should be able to work it out if you don't rush it.

Hey dave I was wondering how much your transmission cooler cost you and where you got it from? Im planning on installing one in my TF auto, as anything that can possibly help my transmission not over heat and last a bit longer is a very good thing. Is there multi purpose or universal coolers you can buy? And how hard is the installation? Any info at all would be great.

Cheers.

ive noticed that the TH series has a nice cooler mounted in front of the radiator - maybe this could be very easily adapted to later model magnas. . . . .

Yeah with the front bumper, just remember you have 4 bolts that go into the chassis rails
and that the reinforcement comes off with the bumper.

they still have tranny coolers, just better bigger ones at the bottom of the radiator.
