Has anyone got a how-to for the chrome bits on a standard tj grill?

I believe they are wheel arch strips and have seen them on a few cars but am unsure of what exactly they are or what to ask for when buying some and also how to install them...glue or do they slip on etc.

I used the search function but to no avail.

Thanks

Dave

Hey mate, i did this to my car.

All you need to do is get the stuff from supercheap/autobarn and cut it to the length that you would like. What i did was use a dremel tool to cut out the horizontal slats as they look a little weird.
I did mine in a KJ style. Also, i cut off the rubber bits on the side of the chrome

Heres a photo of mine:

If you have any question, feel free to ask.

Wiggles: What would be the product to look for/ask for to get what you have?

I've also heard of people putting a chrome wrap around the grill to achieve the same thing, anyone heard anything about that?

I just used the wheel arch trim from autobarn i believe. But its the same stuff at supercheap i think. I just got the smallest size they had at the time

the stuffs called chrome bumper stripping and u can get it from supercheap. then just stick it onto the slats with some sort of strong adhesive and ur set. ive done mine without cutting out the grill and it still looks good. i havent got any photos up yet but i believe Lucifer has done it to his car as well.

Yeah I did it to my old grille (top grille and lower bumper grilles) and it looked pretty good. Didn't need any additional adhesive, the tape that came with the chrome stripping held it on for around 10 months or so, was pretty damn good stuff.
