i dont really have that much cash to burn on this ride so i was wondering if there was any other cheap mods i could do to make it faster or make it look better..... also one other thing, how much will it cost to take off the muffler and just put a straight pipe with a tip on it, or is there any other way to make it louder cos my old 91 ford laser seemed to turn more heads hahaha

Dont put a straight through on it, it will sound like crap, just replace the rear muffler with a lukey lr2779 ( i think, everyone has one)
if you feel the need, put a good pannel filter in, and then lower it heaps, some kings lows will do the trick, they are about 400 installed, or do it yourself for 275.

i was quoted 700 for highflow cat and lukey rear muff. but i am pretty sure you can by bolt on ones that involve no welding for around 200, you can put these on yurself, but there not stainless. I am sure someone on here has bought one. or you could be cheap like me and make your own. i have a ralliart copy muffler on my car, it is straight through with a slight s-bend muffler, with the standard cat it sounds good, but with a high flow cat it is a little bit raspy.

Open bonnet, take off intake snorkel, close bonnet, go for drive and see if you like the sound.

the exhaust system is in diff parts the last muffler can be unbolted i think its 4 bolts? just before the muffler, im pretty sure the lukey just bolts up exactly the same??? not 100% sure tho, mine needed a flange welded onto it so i can be installed, hence why i payed for installation...have you got one of the service manuals?
