Anyone now of a good deck with a red LCD Display. I know the sony Xplodes have them, but I dont like the Sony system's very much. The reason I am looking for this is to match the VRX red dash display..make it hollywood looking... 8)

Any ideas ?

you could always goto jaycar and pick up some red SMD leds and try put them in the display u get..... but i wouldnt try it :P

Jvc have a low priced head unit with selectable skins.
They have some pretty cool gear :)

I would also recomend JVC if you want a good red faced deck at a good price.. personally i like alpine but i dont think they have red in their range.. there is green, blue and orange i think. Since your in the morley area i suggest you go to morley hifi speak to a guy named leon tell him i sent you. They are pretty good there they installed my system which i can show you if your at the cruise on sunday to see what type of work they do!! Good luck!!

My cars back home all use Blaupunkt system.. multi coloured leds where u can choose the colours... it's a rather old model though, but my stacker has anti shock in my Prado... :D works a charm when u drive along the beaten tracks of the countryside...

my whole car sound system setup compromises of SONY.. ok, i know it aint the 'best of the best' but its damn good quality stuff.. being sony you also know that there is some real technology behind it :? or is there?

Problem with sony is their support for their product.. As well as the fact that all their gear is gimick technology.

They make something.. have it out for 6 months and make something totally different.. Support is a bitch through sony..

Dont get me wrong though.. Their gear is pretty nice..

Alpine decks can change from green to red, except the silver ones (like the one I bought).

The red matches quiet well but so does the green, cause of the climate control in the VRX which is greenish.
