Hey guys,

Yes I searched, theres nothing on this.

I have a set of headrest screens coming in the post (full aftermarket replacement) and I need to install them in my existing seats - How do I go about getting the seat backing off to divert the cables etc... is there screws, pop tabs, whats the go? I don't want to break my new seats! :P

Cheers,
Dean

The only cars i can remember seeing them installed on are Skyna's and HLUCIN8, maybe throw them a PM about how they did it. HLUCIN8 is a pro car audio installer so im sure he did them himself and could offer some advice :)

Yep I did install myself. Only way I could get around it was where the seats are stapled together at the bottom was remove one staple and cut a small hole into the carpet to run to the head unit. On the drivers side run the wire down the left side (will take some negotiation as wiring is on right side) and with the passenger just leave it as is. Get is as far to the right/left and in some cases you wont even have to remove the staple. From there enter through the small incision in the carpet and run to head deck. Can't even notice it. Its a bit tedious but once you work out how to get them through you'll be right.

Hey dude,

Main problem is getting it from the support slot in the top (this is where my wires come out) to the bottom of the seat - Somebody suggested a coathanger, is this how you did it? Cheers.

If theyre similar to mine the wire should be fairly long just to bring through. Ive got fairly small hands so just removed two staples and pulled them through then restapled. I guess you could use a coat hanger but will probably be a bit tedious, but successful. Just make sure your drivers side wire comes out on the left hand side of the seat, and passenger right. This will remove any problems associated with length/crimpling the seats.

Thanks SIK_WAGON99 for helping out here, on my TH sports interior there was a plastic clip kind of thing on the bottom you can undo to reach up and grab the wire! All installed and working great! Loving it :)
