hey all,
im wanting to get a 4 channel amp of decent quality to power a Kicker EX 12" sub, 125wrms and a set of splits. not too sure on the splits at the moment but ill b spending around $300 or so on them so they should b a pretty decent set. (if anyone can suggest a set of splits im all ears too :D )

i was thinking along the lines of a kicker amp too, i know they are pretty good. i pretty much just want quality... anyway, it dosent matter on the price, preferably id b looking at between $200-$400 for the amp but im happy to hear all of peoples suggestions. ive bin for a little look around before but im just wondering what people would recommend, if u have a particular amp or have heard of one running a sub/splits pretty well, ill go and check them out and find some prices.

thanks in advance
brendan

i have heard a clarion APX400.4 running a JBL sub and some 6 inch's, sounded real nice.
2x200WRMS were used in this case.
U should be able to get the amp for about $399 on special somewhere

well, i have a blaupunkt GTA 4100, it probably won't be so expensive now, but it runs my 2 12s very nicely. kicker has a nice 4ch, but very expensive, or u could try jaycar. personally, i would probably go cadence.

A little over the budget but how about the Audison SRx range?

hey guys, thanks for the posts.

i had alook 2day in a few places. i saw some VERY expensive kicker amps. im forgetting about kicker :D . no chance for pioneer or kenwood or sony. no boss amps. it was a sunday so i didnt get to check too many places out so i didnt get to have a look at any clarion amps. though i did make a surprising find. SANSUI 4 channel amp from brisbane car sound (strathfield). 70wrms x 4 @ 4 ohms, $270. thats the cheapest ive found and have been told that Sansui at least used to be pretty good. not too sure about nowadays though. any thoughts? ill have alook around for the 3 C's :D clarion, cadence and coustic.

thanks again,
brendan

Go to JB HiFi I'm sure u can find better deals than that you can always knock heaps off RRP.

Where u located? If in Melbourne go to JB Eastland ask for chris and say you are from here he will do aussiemagna members a good deal...

Jaycar Response 4x100, very underrated and very good.

Coustic over the Response amp though for sure.

whats your opinion on Coustic vs Cadence.

i can get a 2 channel Cadence amp that when bridged will make 300WRMS x 1 to power my 250WRMS soundstream sub, for $300.
for an amp with at least 250WRMS to power my sub what are some good options people?

Has any one had any experience with the response amps? Im considering getting one to replace my BOSS 4x60 rms  amp that I have at the moment, does the job but from the sounds of things there are plenty of better amps out there. Ive heard alot of good things about the response amps, in particular that they are good bang for your buck. Any comments on the response amps any one?
