G'Day. We are the proud new owners of a 2008 Black Platinum 380. The build date is 3/2008. One of the last off the line. We paid $25888 and it only had 25500k's. The 5/10yrs 130/160,000k warranty was reset as well. This car is fully loaded and an absolute bargain and a pleasure to drive. I'm an Embassy driver and get to drive some fairly up market vehicles in my line of work. I find the 380 to have exceptional build quality for the price
Cheers.

We originally were looking at a Storm Grey one but the sales girl backed it into a pole when she was backing it out for a test drive and dinted the number plate surround. So we decided to go for the black one. I think we made the right choice. They had a silver, blue and a white one as well. They were all the same age/model with similar K's. I'm almost certain they were all ex hire cars. But hey, hire cars go faster, handle better and have indestructable transmissionslol

I got just the snorkel off the Adelaide Ebay user "falkirk" last week. I selected the Buy Now option and transferred him the money via netbank at 10pm Wed night. Snorkel arrived at my doorstep in Brisbane at 10am Friday!

He replaced them with another set of 22s, just different design.
He has also done some work to the rear guards (ground off the inner edges AFAIK) so that they fit without rubbing.
He also has lowered springs.
And they ain't cheap, you're looking at $6k to $8k for a decent set of 22s with reasonably good rubber.
So it can be done, but not without expense & hassles.

Yes MCHenry's definately running 22s, before and after theft.
He said he actually wanted 24s but no one makes them in 380 offset.
22s don't look silly on a 380; they actually fill the guards perfectly - but the cost is far from perfect. If I had my choice again, I'd get 20s: some 380s here with 20s also look good.

Hmmm I can't stand really big rims. I think 20's on 3rd gens look stupid. Some 19's even. New rims is a fair way down the list of priorities for my 380 but I think I'd be looking for 18's, 19's at most. Have seen pictures of 20's on a 380 and wasn't a fan.

19" should be the minimum you are contemplating otherwise a wheel upgrade isn't worth it. That size looks "normal" and fills the guards reasonably well for the 380.
I agree that really large wheels can look rice and overdone, but that's pretty hard to do on the 380.

Just noticed you scored the GT rims on your 380. Maybe that was part of Platinum Pack... can't remember - but either way you would get a bit from selling them here.
As for barking, I assume you mean rubbing (ie on guards, etc). As long as you don't lower it too far you shouldn't have any problems. Mine's lowered with King Springs 'Super Lows' on front and 'Lows' on rear, and nothing scrapes or rubs - still plenty of clearance. Handling actually feels better with it lowered too.

No, 19s. I was umming and ahhing about 19s vs 20s when I was shopping around for mine, and decided 19s were better value for price and tread wear (for their low profile). 20s were considerably more expensive then, but are now okay as 22s have saturated the market - so if I was looking for rims today, I'd go 20s.
As for springs, Kings are definately yellow but the lack of details doesn't really specificy... but I'd say they're the ones, yes.

Looking at the part numbers, I'm pretty sure the last two letters being FL and RL indicate front low & rear low. Superlows would finish with SL.
Just for the record, I have superlows on the front & lows on the rear however the rear still sits lower than the front...go figure.

$1899 is a good price for 20" wheels with rubber, but I expect the rubber is likely to be Chinese rubbish.
St George usually do a good deal on Kumho Ectsa KU31, a fairy good mid-range tyre, just not sure if they come in 20" size though. Worth asking them if they can do you a deal using KU31s.
Also watch out for wheel offset and tyre width. With too small an offset and/or too wide a tyre and you risk having the rears rubbing on the wheel arches, even without lowered springs. You need the right combination of offset and width, just not sure what that is with 20s, maybe others here know.
