Hello guys,
Just a question on the replacement of the left (passenger) side half shaft. The outer CV joint was shot, but
it was cheaper for me to buy the whole axle assembly. I have a little while ago replaced the right side with no trouble, but a question about the left.........
There does not appear to be a locking ring where it goes into the diff, and I am concerned about the bracket that the shaft goes through that is bolted to the engine. Can't see how it would go onto the intermediate part
of the axle. Can anyone advise? I've checked the manual, but it is as clear as mud.
Hopefully, there's a nice easy answer!

what you have is normal

that shaft is held in place by the two bolts of the motor
the spline runs to the diff



the circlip is on the half shaft to keep that sides CV joint in place
