Hi all,

I've got a few questions but where to post? I guess 3rd gen forum is best.

I'm looking at some steel wheels on ebay as per this link:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110462472387

The lister has told me that they are 41.5cm diameter by 8cm deep.
hmm, that's 16x3".

Can anyone tell me what size the steel wheels should be from a TJ ?

And also, can anyone confirm if these will clear the bigger brakes on an AWD?

I'm looking at some rims to attempt a burnout comp, and although steel wheels aren't the best, they are the cheapest.
My 17" rims weigh 19.6kg with a tyre, these steel wheels weigh 10.6kg alone - anyone know what a typical 16 or 17" tyre weighs?
I also need to weigh my factory 16" rim & tyre, just haven't got round to it yet.

Thanks in advance,
Graham.

Im fairly certain they are 15x6. I would have thought that wheels that small would make contact with the AWD brakes.

I'd grab some Falcon XT items if you can.

This, they'll be bigger and cheaper because there are more Falcon than Magnas.

Cheaper than $1 plus $31 postage? I don't think so. :)

Thanks for the size info Parker - I also searched via google and couldn't find any reference of 16" steel wheels on Magna's, just 15"s and I know they won't fit - I can barely get a finger between the caliper and rim on the factory 16" alloys.

Yep - Ford may be the source of cheap steelies if I decide to go that way.
I wonder if territory rims the same as Falcon - don't answer that here, it's too OT.

Cheers and thanks.

Pretty sure my 15" steelie fits over the AWD brakes on my FWD? In fact I should probably check that lol
