Hi Guys,

It has been a while since I posted here, but that is more testament to how good the car that I have is.

Anyhow, I seem to have a problem with my Magna. About once a day, I seem to have to reprogram my Central Locking remotes. Usually, in the morning, I have to unlock the car with the key, and I then program the only remote that I have. This seems to work for one or, a best two times, but after that, the computer seems to forget the remote, and I have to repeat the process again. The remote has had a number of new batteries, and I've even been tempted to replace it with two more (and another key) from eBay, but haven't gotten around to that yet.

What is most likely to be the problem. My previous car was a Ford Falcon, and it never had to have its 'Smart Lock' remotes re-programmed, yet a newer Magna is having the computer put into 'learning' mode every day, and it is starting to annoy me.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

AMP,
Probably the battery holder connection to the circuit board had broken.
Common problem on the TJ.

Gently prise the case apart.

Is the battery holder being retained by both its contact posts, else it is time for a bit of soldering!

I've looked at that, but the remote itself works. It seems to be a problem with the car itself.
