For best staging and imaging results we usually mount the tweeters into the kick panels. :)

i'm kinda looking for something that will clip/screw in nicley without having to modify any of the car so it can be easily returned to normal when i sell up

that is so true unless u have big fat as leg like me!.

tweeters shouldn't be mounted very far from the mid bass driver,
for example if u mount the mid bass driver in the factory location then mount the tweeters in the sail bit then u would get massive channel seperation. mount the tweeters at an angle where the waves sort of shoot at u

it ok to have the tweeters and the woofer apart. the thing u wanna do is, make sure that they are the same distance from you (your ear). i have just got mine on the dsh where the tweter pods are. all you have to do is drill two little holes in these pods, one for the wire and oen for the screw. this position is fine for a basic system, and sounds good, and also if u dont wanna butcher anything up

good luck

i've think i've decided to put a two way speaker in instead they're an alpine s series with a little tweeter that swivels in the middle they're the only alpine speakers that will fit in the doors of a magna without the windows hitting them ( apparently ) has anybody got these speakers how r they????????

yeh i knwo what u mean witht her speakers httting the window. alot of speakers will do this. i used washers as spacers between the speaker and the door when screwing them in. depending on how many u use, u can move them quite a few millimetres forward

If they hit just use spacers and get rid of that crap black thing inside the door trim, I just cut it off and saved the bits that hold the screw goes in and screwed it on so the grill didnt fall off or vibrate madly. :D

i have alpine type s 2-ways... i don't mind them at all. personally i think they sound better than my mates rockford splits. i have them running off a 2x75WRMS AWA amp and they fairly go off, between them in my front doors and my clarion 12" in a ported box its useless me having mirrors cuz the just vibrate anywhere they want and wont stay in place.

You can build little bridges that sit the tweeter over the kick panel. That way nothing gets damaged. ;)
