Hi Guys
really hope someone can give me a help and some advices
I am changing my 2002 TJ Original CD Unit to Pioneer DEH-4150SD
Basically I have done the pulling part.
Now I am stuck with the reconnection part.
some questions here
1. shall i cut the Original Loom? or just strip a tinny part of the original wire and connect with the new wire??
2. my TJ has 2 looms. can anyone tell me what's that small one?? only has 2 pins

3. my TJ has 6 speakers. but according to the loom diagram from The Install Doctor, only 4 speakers are featured. what happen to the 2 small front speakers near the side mirror?
thank you very much

goto autbarn / repco / bursons etc and ask for a pioneer to magna adaptor plug, no cutting required, take the headunit with you to compare if you can (theres a few different looms)
Not too sure what the other one is
The small speakers are tweeters, not too sure how useful they are in the stock setup, maybe ask someone else but im pretty sure there will be some sort of in-line 'crossover' which will split the frequencies to the wire.

There should be a crossover/splitter for the tweeters. If its factory it'll run off the factory loom.
And +1 for getting an Aerpro wiring harness.
+1 for the harness, if they don't have pioneer to mitsubishi, get mitsubishi to iso, and iso to pioneer :)

thank you guys so much
I nearly cut it and ready to go over all the color sorting part.
but I have rang AutoBarn. they got it for Pioneer to Magna cost me $22
that's so easy and Plug and Play.
still have a question here. what is that 2 pin loom?
what will happen to my Power Antenna?
any advices?
thanks

With the power antenna I know when I did my brother's Toyota we had to splice that wire into the factory loom, you'll need to find it on the car side and hook it up to the pioneer side ,that's if the aero pro doesn't do have the connectors (it didn't for him), best way is to test before screwing everything back in (make sure you don't short anything)
The Pioneer will always have the antenna up even if you're not listening to the radio.

On the TJ's the antenna is built into the normal loom. It is on mine at least anyway...

From memory with the 2 pin loom one of them is audio mute. Under the cover for the gearshift you should find a 4 pin multi plug which has 12v constant, 12v accessory, ground and the 4th is radio mute and is either the blue or white wire in that 2 pin plug. Was fitted up to enable handsfree car kits to be fitted to the car.
