My dad and I are thinking of lowering my TR, dad wants to just do the front because its way to high compared to the back, but my worry is, that with lower (1" / 2.5cm) at the front and none at the back will make it handle weird, because it will be stiff at the front but stock(boaty) at the back.
do you think this will make it feel weird and un settled because of this stiff front?'
oh and the reason for only going 1" is because i want to drive a legal car, i dont want to be driving with it too low.

thanks

lol... 'tuffer TR'

King lows all round will be fine, it's hardly low and you'll never scrape anywhere on the road apart from the odd steep driveway.

Horrible photo but you get that.

Oh and be patient too mate, the likelihood that someone will respond to a post in 3 hours on a Sunday morning is pretty slim ;)

Are you changing all 4 of your shocks when you lower it? My recommendation is to do all 4 springs and shocks with matched sets that way there will be no mismatch with suspension settings front to rear.

And tuffer TR? Best of luck with that!

Yes....Stock 2.6L manuals are beasts :D

Dunno why You wanted me to comment in this but anyhoo, as said before, get new springs and shocks (KYB's are a good all rounder) or else it'll be low and boaty.

psh, theyre just guidelines.

how good a TR looks is inversely proportional to its ride height

i sound smart, yeah?

Ive been driving around on kings lows for 4 to 5 years. Also add illegal window tint, tinted blinkers and possibly illegal exhaust. Never had an issue with cops, even been through rbt's a few times and they don't even look twice. Cops don't care about magna's.

Not sure if kings lows are technically illegal but they definatley don't make your car look slammed and most people probably wouldn't be able to tell your car is lowered unless they deal with lowered cars or 2nd gen magnas alot.

what the hell. dude i said ring around.
1) ripped off. Philcom rally our sponsors here would of done it cheaper
2) mate for the price you paid you were better off just getting what you had re-set.

sometimes i dont know why i bother giving advice
