is it dificult to fit a newer say te 3l egnine into a ts? what needs to be replaced for it to be done? :happy:

Most people who upgrade their second gens go for a 3L DOHC, or in Tuffy's case, 3.5L DOHC. These are both off jap models

from memory, i think the oil filler cap and dipstick are on the wrong side. nothing is going to line up, either. then you get to figure out all the electronics.

edit- totally beaten to it.

Oil pump is the wrong type (crossover vs non crossover) meaning if you do it the oil filter will sit where your driveshaft needs to be.

if the TS motor does not work anymore, I'd pay $400 from the wreckers or whatever it is they charge for another standard one to get it working again.

And as cuppas said, Electronics are different everythings different
