my TF is leaking oil. i can't tell where from though. Are there any common places where oils leaks from?

First thing to do to locate an oil leak - is clean the engine down thoroughly, so you can see where the oil has travelled from.
Engines can leak from any of the surfaces that join basically over time / neglect.
A more common place would most likely be considered the Rocker Cover gaskets.
But yeah, start with cleaning the engine down, so you can see where the oil has come from, otherwise your just guessing at changing things and possibly wasting time and money changing them in the process.

Cam shaft seals, crank seals, rocker cover gaskets. degrease entire engine, then you will be able to trace where the leak originates from. make sure it is engine oil and not transmission oil or power steering fluid. or brake fluid. I recommend you get hold of a workshop manual as this will be the best accessory you can buy.

thanks. i have booked it in to get it looked at. hope it is only a cover gasket....
