Hi, I own a TR Magna Elite and I am new to this forum too.
My car has done only 55,000KMS excellent interior condition, and perfectly new looking paintwork. My latest spec you will find in the profile. Its a fully optioned magna.
I am looking to do some custom work on the car and I want to remove all my fake woodgrain panels (some of you would have plastic looking ones) and do some work on them. Doesnt anyone know a fool proof way of removing them? I am a little touchy about pulling apart the dash...

the woodgrain crap is only holdin on by 2 screws (not really screws, they are them rabbit earsed things, that just twist off) so u dont need to take your dash off, then there are another 2 scres when u take off the black plastic seround b4 your cluster and above yoyur steering wheel, the little wooden one on the drivers side is onkly held by 2 screws, u will see them when u take off the black plastic cluster thing too, then they just pop out...
Just a sugestion, we all know how crap our woodgrain trims are, anyway in NZ they make a nicer one with a deep clear of laquer or coating, they come up real shiney

hmmm... so I will find the "screws" after taking off the black plastic surround of the instrument cluster? and everything should just come apart and straight forward?

OK I got the intrument cluster surround off... and I got the woodgrain bit off the driver side but now I hit a problem... the woodgrain part that extends from the driver side to the passenger side wouldnt come out (well it did a little but now stuck where the center air con and clock is.) Please help... I cant take it out or put it back in... if anyone have picture it'd be nice too. Thanks

The woodgrain panels I am talking about arent really woodgrain its just printed on and it has all faded. I really need help to get the passenger side dash trim off. Its half off at the moment and it wont go back in nor can I take it out. Is it held on by something else? I have taken the screw out next to the intrument cluster.

Theres 2 moe "nuts" behind it, if u take out the glovebox and put your hand up there u would be able to feel them and screw them by hand
