I have a 97 TE Exec V6, I'm just looking for the 2.5" straight-through muffler.

For those of you guys out there who went with RedBack Mufflers would you be able to tell me the model number of it? Would you also be able to provide me with a rough price and perhaps, if you are in VIC, where you got it?

Incidentally, would RedBack have a website? I went on google and couldn't seem to find one.

Anyway, thanks people.

Hi TeQuilaChicken, I had my redback fitted a few weeks ago on my TF Exec, In total it cost me $340 from Midas mufflers in Lilydale. I know you can get it cheaper but I have been going to them for a while now. It only took a few hours. Sorry I don't have the part number but you can just give Midas a call or drop in and find this info out.

You can check out this similar thread from a while ago http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6860

Here is the website for redback exhausts:
www.redbackmufflers.com.au/redback/index.htm (http://www.redbackmufflers.com.au/redback/index.htm)

Hope this info helped. Cheers Neil.

i got it fitted at Macs Mufflers at geebung, brisbane (brothers mate works there).
So it was mates rate to some extent, although i am sure you could get most places to get down to the same sort of price.

Okay, it's a bit out of reach for me.

I'll look around and check out some prices here in Melbourne.

Just buy the Muffler, and Nicely ask Madmagna whether he has time to weld it on for you. Maybe you could offer him something??? I dunno, but it'll work out a lot cheaper than what you would pay outside.

Cheers

Okay here is the website

http://www.manumatic.com.au/manumatic/default.aspx

Part Numbers are
STR361 for the front
STR364 for the rear

Where are you located? anywhere in or near the northern suburbs?

I have access to parts at good prices.

Thanks for the site info. I'm near the city but I guess I could get anywhere pretty easily.

A question, does the RedBack come in two parts? Thanks.

Cool, I'll pop down to Melton sometime then if I don't find anything else here.

I drove past Midas and decided to get a quote, they wanted $350 for the Lukey (bolt-on) installed, and they gave me a quote for the RedBack STR364 at $330 installed.

2 things are strange I guess:
1. Since when was the Lukey so expensive, and...
2. Since when was the Redback cheaper than the Lukey?

$350 for the Lukey bolt-on????????? What the???

I got mine for $175 or $180 fitted, I think. That's double the price!!!!!! Tell them to go and get ****ed!

There's something wrong with their pricing, that's for sure!

Something is not right there, The STR364 installed should be only around the $200 mark. For $330 installed you should be able to get the centre STR361 and the Rear STR364 Installed.

Tell them where to go but that is plain old ripping you off.
