Get the cheaper one, I thought that was pretty obvious...

Are you talking about where the plenum bolts to the lower manifold between the 2 heads?
gasket surge tank does not sound like an intake plenum gasket to me mate.
IIRC they are re usable anyway, just be careful when you take it off.

If its the one between the top and bottom part of the manifold its metal. You can re use it. We did a sparkplug replacement on a 2003 magna on Friday we reused the same one without any issues.

I bought genuine metal gasket for between upper/lower intake manifold, and was only about the $7-00 mark. Just to be clear, this is the gasket that sits horizontally in the midddle of the valley between front and rear heads - at the top of the v-shaped piece that sits in the valley. The curved section (upper intake manifold) bolts down onto this gasket.
Its a metal gasket, and all advice from several members (including a well-acknowledged mechanical guru*) is that the metal gasket can be re-used time and again without problems. In theory, the new gaskets have a bit of a "flange" pressed into them, which gets squashed when the upper intake manifold is tightened onto the lower section and this ensures a good seal. In the real world, however, the old gasket will be effective. I had already bought the new gaskets (3 cars worth of them, as each only $7- odd).
EDIT: * = Mal, aka Madmagna.
