hey guys,

today i covered my air filter and AFM then sprayed my electrics with cilicone spray and proceeded degrease the engine bay as per usual. went to drive of 2 hours later and its spluttering like a MOFO!!!

the car will start and idel fine. it will free rev fine as well but when you hold it at 2800 the revs vary up and down by 500 revs. and when you try to drive it its pretty much useless under load until 3000 revs then it will takes off

iv checked most of the elect system so when it cools down (tomorrow morning) i will check the distributer and coil and go from there. this has happend before from driving through flood water but let it idel for 15-20 min to dry fixed that, not this time?

any had this problem before and what did you do? any help appreciated!!

Pull your plug leads off and check for water around the spark plugs.

I wash engines pretty much daily, the main reason for this is the dist seal is dicky and water is inside the cap, this will give the exact same problem you are having

RRemove the cap, blow out the cap and dist and you should be fine
