Just wondering if anybody had any pics of your big 3 upgrade? Gonna be doing mine soon and would love to see some pics... Still a little confused as to where the positive is on the alt, where the engine is grounded etc..

Also, did you guys leave the stock wiring? Or just add the extra wiring?

Edit: Also wondering if I need a fuse between the alt and the battery? The cable can apparently take over 300A, and I know my alt wont ever produce that, so is there any point?

I'm still half done to this upgrade as I pulled out my carpc. I already finished the ground bits and maybe the positive cable once I returned back everything.

I am planning to retain the existing wire and add a thick wire directly from alternator to the battery.
From what I read, it's good to place a fuse near the battery mainly to protect it in case of short circuit.

Battery Terminal and 0-4ga adaptor, I am using 1/0 gauge cable.

Battery to engine block - I removed the factory ground and replaced it with the thicker one.

Battery to Chassis - I also removed the factory chassis ground and I used this threaded hole and used a bigger bolt.

You do know that the stock alternator is rated at 110amps?
How many amps will your system be pulling?
Have you considered getting a optima yellowtop battery too?

Yeah will be getting a yellowtop in Joe's group buy in January! :)

I have no idea how many amps the system will be pulling.... Around the same as MGNTZD though I think and he is still running stock alternator, so Im hoping it will last...
