I had a look at the very awsome and detailed description on how to take the centre console on the tj magna to change the head unit (climate control). I got a bit stuck as i couldn't figure out how to disconnect the AC as i dont have climate control in the car it has the old fashioned one. I found the black, white and purple cable but it seems there is an extra one i am missing could anyone please help me with a diagram on how to disconecct the non climate control AC

You shouldnt have to remove the aircon. I have change my unit at least 2 times so far, all you have to do is either hold it up, or as i did, use some tape to tape it around the aircon pipe to just get it out of the way.

Trying to disconnect it is WAY to much effort when you can do as above.

Wiggles has got the idea. im always ripping mine out and adding stuff and ive never disconnected it. just hold it up out of the way.

You need to make sure you remove the 2 screws on the top to free the front fascia. Once that is done as Linz mentioned the Air Con will just sit in there. :D

Will save you time and stress believe me.
