So last night my car alarm went off on its own approximately 5 times. I had to get up at 6a.m and disconnect the battery because it was waking everyone up. I've never had a problem with my alarm system. Has this happened to anyone?

Could be a faulty door switch

I second the door switch.
They are really easy to remove, and the contacts can be cleaned up with metho and cotton bud.
Check also the boot and bonnet switches!

Where are they located?

They are just inside the car located on the rearward side of the entrance, should be a small black switch with a rubber cover on it, held to the chassis by two screws. All you have to do is remove the switch (really easy, undo the two screws, pull it away from the car and the plug will follow, just unplug it) then peel back the rubber and spray some WD40 or equivalent whilst pressing the switch a few times to get it in there, then put it back to the car and it will come good.

Something is draining the battery..
Could be a range of things..check the easiest more commoon things first.
Door switches etc.
Mine was a 86 corolla and the alternator was draining the battery, alarm picks up the voltage drop and off goes the alarm....

I had a mongoose alarm on my old TJ. It rained and somehow water got into the alarm (dont ask how because I have no idea)

The alarm went off at all times in 2 days. I had to disconnect it and let the whole thing dry out, I have not had a problem since - But it was very frustrating !!! :roflwtf:
