im prolly having the same problem as the guy below me in the thread lists, when i put the pedal to the medal the gear transistion = ****ed. 1st gear hits up to 6 thousand revs before i change gears...which for draggin @ lights is a hell of a kickback, if i get a transmission service the technicians should knock the gear transitions back to normal yeh?
If its TE+ you should have the invecs tranny - have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while and letting the gearbox relearn its shift patterns?

no i havent :(...i was considering doing that after i got a trans service, i took it in for a major service not to long ago n the people who serviced it (automasters) said it also needs a brake fluid flushing, which i did already n a trans service...which i cant do..

i dont know much but maybe the kickdown needs adjusting so its less sensitive so then the car might shift earlier my tp magna holds out till about there but i dont drag so it doesnt really bother me my car uses oil dont wanna push it hard im getting the valve stem seals done soon
Err. Punctuation?
If you've been hammering the car hard in the past, the tranny's probably thinking you wanna drive like this. If you haven't, it probably needs a service...

Just disconnect the battery and let it reset. I took mine back to Mitsu get it serviced and it was ok for a week then started playing up. Waste of time
Might as well do it yourself and let it play up every week like me.
Its cheaper and saves time :D

with the "pedal to the medal" the tacho should kiss the redline around 6000rpm before shifting so nothing wrong with that.

yeh when i got my car if i did pedal to the floor it would go up to around 4 500 rpm the change gears, it soon learnt to goto 6000 :)
