Hey guys
I was looking at some engine covers and it seems they come with different writing colours
mine is red but is not the Molten Red but the ralliart red yet others have silver
so can you post up the colour of your car, model of 380 and colour writing on the cover
Colour: Molten Red
Model: GT

I took mine off :D
BTW if you do this, just keep in mind my experience in very heavy rain. When the car goes through large puddles and spray goes up into the engine compartment, the engine starts to miss and the symptom is a deep vibration. The car doesn't want to accelerate but will hold its revs OK. It goes away after around 10 secs when the heat evaporates the water. I'm assuming this happens around the coil packs where there is high voltage and a leakage occurs because of the water.
The engine cover stops this happening pretty much so I put it back on if the weather is bad for a few days.

Drastically reduces heat around the fuel rail and inlet manifold.

Well, thats seems Mecha's job in life...king of the threadmines and ,
like you say...."another random thread",though, one has to admit, that some of his topics are interesting...
So,to encourage his randomness and threadmining...

I originally thought it changed with the series? series 1 and 2 being red, series 3 being silver and a majority of the 08 plates not having any colour at all. Then again Kj's is silver...
For the record:
Colour:Electro Blue
Model: SX series 3
Engine: silver
And im with Knotched on this one, I took mine off after I bought it

I can't see any pattern here at all, seems to be pretty much random.
But it's early days yet, we need another 20 or 30 replies before Mecha can call it quits.
Speaking of random, maybe MMAL saw Mecha coming?
