Hi Everyone, Does anyone have any suggestions on the best spark plugs for a 3.0L TF running LPG?

I'm looking at NGK BKR6EIX-11 which have a 1.1mm gap, can you get BKR6EIX with a 1.0mm gap or would I be ok to use standard BKR6EIX which I think are 0.8mm?

And should I go for BKR7EIX (if they exist) as it would be a colder plug?

Thanks..

It's advisable to get the colder plug for LPG. (By one number)

I'm not sure about the gap thing although, I know mine were gapped, (smaller) by Steve Knight whilst he was tuning my car. It hasn't hurt it so far......

I'm with Al, one heat range colder than standard and keep that gap down around 0.7-0.8mm. I'm assuming you have a pre throttle body gas ring BBQ/fork lift unit. If it's direct gas injection you can open up the plug gap a little.

Cheers Dave

Does anyone know what the "standard' gap size is on NGK plugs? I read somewhere it's .8 ? unless you get the BKR7EIX-11 / 10 etc..

And yes, it's the type of system that feeds the gas in before the TB.. I'd love Di LPG then I'd ditch the duel fuel.

Dave is right, though his comments are probably more relevant to sequential vapour injection.

The smaller .7 - .8 gap would best suit mixer LPG sytems to prevent pre-ignition and blowing up your air intake and air sensors.

Platinums or iridiums are favoured by installers for cars with spark problems.

Cool, I'll go for BKR7EIX
Funny, I can order these from the UK for less than half what they are in Australia even with the shipping lol...
I better order them before the dollar dives...

Cheers.
