i have a 1993 tr wagon and looking at getting some 17x8 mags s/hand of course but the offset is around 30 will these fit or not ????. i have the option of falcon mags but like the black mesh with polished lip better

second question is when accelerating or going up hill i get a shocking vibration in the front and is not wheel balance.i do have a clicking noise coming from driveshaft so could it be that

also looking at a tr se sedan bit of a project thing. its 5 speed but the clutch has gone. did early models come out with electric windows as this one has windup windows.

False. Early TR SE's did NOT come with Power Windows. The SE came with the verada-styled extra bolstered seats, a dash clock, centre armrest, different grille and rear garnish and factory semi-colour coded bumpers. The only model which got Power Windows std was the Elite.

In TS, the SE got power windows and all mentioned above.

Ohk but you could use TS/KS power window switches and regulaters and rails, door trims and looms and install them in to the TR SE

i have some 18x8 now with a +35offset. The front are flush with 235/40 and the rears sit inside the gaurd about 5-8mm

they are black spoke with about 50mm of polished lip/dish, see my membrs machine page for pics

In the TR, the Luxury Pack consisted of electric windows, cruise control and something else, and this was optional on TR SE's.

Having said that, quite a lot of TR SE's have the Luxury Pack optioned. :)

I believe it was fairly late in the TR run that the Luxury Pack became standard. And yes, all TS SE's have the Luxury Pack as standard.

I have also seen the odd Verada ei (usually a very early build - late 1991) that has manual windows! These early examples were often lumbered with all-brown interior too. Similarly, only after the first year or of production, did the Luxury Pack become standard on KR ei's.

On the front end vibration.... I had the same problem with my 96 TS Wagon.. The inner joints on the drive shafts are the problem... Felt like the front end was going to fall off... I had replaced both shafts within the last month ... with them failing both together (the last one installed before I left for a Syd-Melb trip on new years) & both failed whilst I was far away from home. (Fun on a holiday). One was that bad that the shaft, when rotated by hand, was not running true but in an elliptical orbit. Between $70 & $80 (trade?) depending on the side plus labour for the installation. I was lucky I found a good mechanic that didn't rip me off..

The TR SE did come with power windows, not all though, it was an option, I had a SE TR 1992 model with power windows and cruise, so the other guy that said TR SE's didn't have power windows was totaly wrong.

About the vibration when going up hills my KR Verada done the same thing, it was the drivers side drive shaft, the CV joint was fine but the tripod joint (the end that goes in the transmission) was worn out.
