Hey guys just a quick question,
With regards the key batter, do I have to take it into mitsubishi to get it changed along with codes so on so forth? Mines going flat

Mikey,

I had a problem several months ago with one of my remotes not working properly. It often took five or six button presses before anything happened.

I took it into the dealer and the bloke on the service counter levered the two halves apart with a small screwdriver. Stick the screwdriver in the little slot next to the base of the key shaft and gently twist.

Just be careful once it is open otherwise little bits & pieces can go all over the place.

Once open the battery is a cinch to replace, and a new one cost me about $6 from the dealer IIRC. You can probably get one from a battery shop for less than this and DIY.

Removing & replacing the battery didn't effect the codes in any way and no reset was needed.

As it turned out my battery wasn't a problem, instead there was a loose connection inside the remote which the service counter bloke super-glued back in place, but I got a new battery anyway.

KJ.

Cheers KJ, sounds simple so I'll get onto that tomorrow. For the moment though I'm trying to find the spare key :tired:
