What type of mods if any do you have? Do you know for sure its running rich? sure its not just misfiring? A misfire can give the impression its running rich

Silly question but, have you had it to a tuner to have the tune fixed up? You're in Brisbane somewhere, right? Book it in at Neal Lowe Motorsports in Slacks Creek. They're Evo experts. They work on my car and tuned it 2 years ago and mine's still going strong.

I would assume they would be about $120 an hour on the dyno as most places are.
Although cant help but think if its a STANDARD motor running a STANDARD ECU how are you mixtures out? Unless you've tampered with something then yeah you'll need a dyno tune.

G'day mate,
hey it could be something simple.. have you check your exhaust/dump pipe sensor... thats how the ecu know what the air/fuel ratio is... Or your mapp sensor / Air flow meter
had is happen to a mate, slamped in new sensor in and he was on his way, if your car has been tuned then its normal for the air/feul ratio to be rick at idle and up until it hits boost, so the fuel is there so it doesnt leen out.. becuase thats the last thing any motor wants. Even mine blows Black smoke at idle, as long as its not blue or a crazy amount of smoke it should be okay?
Let me know any way when you find out :P
