Yeah I know he said that..Just been without a car and been at Mitsubishi since last November and life is getting tough with a wife and 3 boys...Never hear from Mitsubishi and the more I look around the net the more I am reading the same dilema with some waiting over 4 months with no answers..I just wish to find out what the problem is but no one seems to be able to help..Plenty of other ECU numbers but no one has one of these.New or second hand..
Mitsu says about $4000.00 and a new set can be made..I near vomitted..

Mate, I sent you several emails with options listed in them for you, dont quite know how that is not responding.

I stated that if you get back to me with your set up, ie what trans (I assume 5 speed tippy) that I could try sending you a flashed ecu even if just to get you back on the road. I have one here that is 5sp tippy, however is no Traction but if only to test and conf that your ecu has died will get you started

There are a few options

I have a ECU here that has had the immob removed thus will start any car, should run yours ok. I have flashed a Ralliart tune into it as well.

The idea that you have to match the BEM is not 100% correct as you can get any ECU and use the MUTT to program in the keys and you should be resolved.

The ECU I have here I am after $300 for with the tune that is in there at the moment, I have run and tested it only issue however is it does not support traction control

I can get one with tract enabled as well but will have to send it off to flash that one in and I get charged $120 for that, so I could get that arranged as well so you will basically be back where you are now but need to get an aftermarket immob installed

Also, if you give me your VIN I may be able to get a price on the ECU and see if I can get cheaper than you have been quoted for the genuine new item

One ECU I have tracked down is identical number to what is in there but the imm number is one digit out.Should there be a problem..You would think Mitsu would know but I have not even heard from them since before Christmas and that was just to return my bloody call..They are bad..
Yeah,just looked back at my emails and the last was 4th Jan but only asked if it was five speed tip or not..Nothing since,so maybe it was trashed.Sorry if that was the case..
