Hey peoples,
I'm looking for a new daily to buy. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to TJ Magna Touring Wagons- can anyone please tell me what the differences there are between a normal TJ wagon? I did a search but couldn't come up with much.
This is the car I have my eye on:

I can see:
Side skirts
Embroidering on seats
Non digital white instrument cluster
Exhaust
Decals
Can anyone tell me if there's any other differences? Also, out of everyone's opinion- would you rather go the Touring Wagon, or this?

Both haven't had their major service.
Thanks in advance

personally i would get which one suited my situation
the white one is a Rada with a dickie seat for seating 7 people
so if the need to cart kids etc around thats the one I would go for
the sienna red wag just looks like a good neat wagon and if your only after a neat wagon with a bit of a difference then go for it
I like the Touring wagon just cause of the colour
Just quickly looking at that ad, it looks like it may have been a dealer special, or that the owner has put all those extras on. Personally I'd go the verada.

Yeah the Verada looks pretty good, and I can imagine there not being too many out there with such low kms and the matching velour third row of seats.

Not to mention all the other Verada stuff like tiptronic auto, climate control, passenger airbag, blackout cluster, more comfortable seats....
Personally think it's a no brainer!

only touring wagon that mmal brought out was the KS Verada Touring Wagon, with option manual, sunroof, roof racks, rear fog light, headlight washers and different trim. It was the same car that they exported to the UK, badged as a Sigma. In the TJ form there is a "sports" wagon. I'd go the verada, its got more features unless you like sports orientation interior.

Thanks for the replies guys- i'm taking a look at the Verada this arvo. I really do like the white too. Hopefully I can negotiate the cost of the major service off the price of the car!

Verada for sure mate, the other is nice, but if you get one you will want all the features of the Verada on it anyway

Really, most of what the verada has, most people end up modding on to they're magnas anyway.

The first car is just a glorified exec, waste of time and money, might as well just get a Exec for all it is worth. The Series 2 TJ came as a sportswagon, is pretty much a VRX wagoin, this exec is not much to be honest and bang for buck you are far better off with the Verada
As you are in Vic I can take care of your servicing for you and will be a lot cheaper than any dealer and do a far better job, if you also want a pre purchase inspection I can also do this for you.

All good guys- have got a deposit on the white wagon!
It'll be my first ever V6 auto i've ever owned- been driving/modding 4cylinder mitsi's for a while now though.
I have a nice set of 18's, tint, sounds and some EVO 6 Tommi Mak Recaros ready to drop into it. I'll start a members ride thread asap.
Thanks to all the replies, oh and Madmagna, cheers for the offer- I do my minor services at home, but if i'm ever in need of a major- i'll give you a holla. Might see you on a cruise/meet one day.

Perhaps the touring wagon thing may have been optional thing? My car was identical to that when I bought it. Same kit, wheels, dash. With "Touring Wagon" seats.

can anyone confirm whether the "touring wagon" series 1 exec has ABS or not. the ad says it does, but I've never seen a TJ exec with ABS or passenger side airbag.

i don't even think mmal officially had the TJ Touring Wagon in the model line up... whats the vin number? might suggest something...
possibly a concept car prior to the official launch of the "Sports" Wagon in the TJ 2???

I believe there were some of these sports wagons around not long before the TJII, have seen a couple of them with the white dials which have no markings on them ie VRX or Sports
Good move on the Rada, much better car

If anyone is looking for a TJ Sportswagon, spotted one at Heartland Holden in Penrith.
