hi, try an oil change or check oil level, also, make cure that your clutch is fully disengaging.

it is reasonalbe to expect your car to not go into first easily above around 25kmh, without pretty good rev matching. BUT it should go in reasonably easily on flat ground. There could be a hole heap of thing causing this (worn syncros etc) but try the 2 things i suggested, and go from there. The clutch is generally why a car wont go into gear while parked if nothing else is mechanically wrong. also, if you drive along wit your hand rested/leaning on the gear knob, stop that because that causes problems aswell.

sounds like the new (thicker) clutch plate is catching on the fly wheel and press plate.

1st thing you need to do is bleed your clutch fluid. (change it as well, it doesnt hurt)
if that doesnt fix the problem, you need to adjust your clutch pedal so that it comes up higher when you let your foot off. This will give you more throw on the clutch pedal, therefore pulling the pressure plate away futher. (you need to make sure you still have a couple mm play (loose travel) at the top of the clutch pedal travel. other wise your clutch may slip.)

Check the shift linkage cable adjustment. If it needs to be put into 3rd, before you can shift into 1, it could also be a tight clutch plate on the input spline. Was the new clutch plate and pressure plate identical to the original?

Try putting it into 1st and then start the car (clutch pedal down). If it tries to creep forward you know the clutch is hanging up - on the spline or clutch face.

Thing I have seen many times is where a new plate is fitted but the spline is lubricated with normal grease, this will cause the plate to bind on the shaft. Did you use proper grease on the spline usually supplied with the plate
