Hi All,
I have a wrecked Maroon TR Magna V6 that ive been picking parts off from since it was written off las year.
I have a replacement White TS Magna V6 and am wondering if it is possible to remove the back boot panel reflectors from the Marron TR to be used on the TS?
The TS has a grey back boot panel reflector and i think it would look better using the red back boot reflector from the TR.
If anyone has experience with these i would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Cheers

All done!!
Not quite a straight swap as the TR Elite had light mount fittings in the boot lid reflector panel and the TS did not.
A quick modification to the TR Elites boot lid reflector panel and it was done.

Thanks
Also replaced the rear lights to match the boot lid reflector.
Am very happy with the results.

OH NO! you didnt cut the boot garnish did you matE? should have cut the boot instead and put globes in the garnish...looks alot nicer with the four tail lights.

Yann89, Didnt cut the garnish! Sorry my post was misleading about that.
I cut the holes in the boot lid metal so that at a future point in time (when $ allow) i can install the lights.
Agreed will look good with 4 tails lights.
Next job is some parabolic head lights required but i've read that there will be some basic wiring required but should be gr8 when its done.

nah mate, parabolics (mine anyway) just clipped straight in. same globes and everything. it's the Diamante front light setup (chrome grille accross the whole width of the car) which requires modifications...

See this thread (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?p=599082&highlight=watt+bulbs#post599082) for inspiration. Cost to convert the rear lights is very little. Just go to a wrecker and get 4 dual filament bulb holders (with the offset slots), some wiring, cable crimps (or you can solder wires) and 4 x dual filament bulbs. I did mine in one afternoon. I also stuck some aluminium foil into the backing to aid reflection.
Replace the inner two single filament bulb holders with dual ones and screw in place the other two into the slot in the boot lid and then wire them up so that you get 3 pairs of tail light and 3 pairs of brakelight plus the highmount brake light.

Vlad!
I'm sold!! Looks awesome!! I will surely do this.
I'm off to pick n payless soon to get these parts. I'm needing a new RHS side front guard (white) as some looser did a 3 point turn and backed into my car! Argh!! and the culprit didn't stick around to own up to it either.
Since then i've been cruising around with a maroon front guard.taken from my wrecked maroon TR.
My wife wont drive in the car with me until its replaced with a white one!!
Cheers!

Don't know which is cheaper; getting a white one from a wrecker or getting a panel beater to repaint the maroon one white. Someone here will know. Probably cheaper if you did the prep work yourself.

Plenty of white TR's at the wreckers, There will be one there for sure. Just give it a good cut and polish and it'll look like new.

Hi Pete.
I sent a PM regarding the para's during the week, thanks for the reply and i will need to confirm a meet to grab them from you.
If you have a white RHS front guard also that would be gr8. It present i have two wreckers who have them at $90 a pop ($90 seems a little excessive i was thinking) other other options get it resprayed professionally is $200 or to DIY myself would cost me around the same in materials .
I love my white TS and at present it looks like im a Manly Sea Eagles supporter (Maroon and white) of which my 8 yr old son is liking but i am not! Ha!
Cheers
