i had 18's on the front and 19's on the rear?
why you ask? cos they dont make the semi slick tyres i want in 19' profile.. and yerr.. with all this power i now have i need to find ways to put it to the ground.
of course, id use the same wheel for each size, but have "normal" 19' tyres on the rear, and some fully sick semi slicks on the front... what do you think?
i mean, ferrari have 19's on the front, and 20's on the rear :D
do you think it would look too out of line, or do you think it would be kinda cool.. (be great in mag write ups' more info to type :D) haha..
so your thoughts?

yeah! heaps of cars come out with odd sized wheels, and i honestly think it look fine. isn't that the same as the crossfire? 18s and 19s?

i reckon most people woulnt pick the decripency... (sp?)
i mean, if they ask, "they 18's.." ill continue to reply "nah mate, 19's" :D haha
but yer, i think i might do that at the next tyre change! *touch wood they still make my wheel when i need to change my tyres!!* haha...
i personally think it would be ok!

I'd have to see it..but I'm a bit wary of it...
looking at the car from a distance or even up close I doubt anyone could pick out a difference of an inch in rims sizes.
We're talking what 2.5cm in total... should look fine.

If someone noticed it then it would look gay but I'd imagine that you would only have them on for the strip? If so, that's function over form and there's nothing wrong with that when you're on the strip.

nah man, alot of cars are like that, especially drag cars :P its very mean looking, like if u had 19 on the rear and 15 on the front and the front end just sits on the ground.. mmm....

actually, it would be for everyday use,
cos these semi slicks are 380$ for 18"
and the "everyday" 19" tyres are 500+
so yer... it would be all day, every day driving, and prolly get some same wheels in 17" form and get some really baggy slicks :D
but yer, i think 18 and 19 mixed would look ok.

go 20's on the back and 17's or 18's on the front, i luv the look of large on the back and small on the front and it would have a really mean stance.

Actually, I think it might be obvious as the smaller wheel is going to be in the larger arch. Oh well, you can only try.
Umm... are you allowed to use slicks on the road or are you referring to 'slicks' being a design that are street/track like Falkens?

I think it will look fine... I was going 2 put 20" on the rear and 19" on the front of my car. as 20" will fit on the back of our car but a lot of work needs to b done to fix them on the front. but the 19" still look small on the back unless you have got your car real low at the back. at the front u can just fit 1 finger in between the tyre and the guard and in the ass i have the wheel just under the guard... its looks real tight.... but if your after tyres 4 your 19" you can pick them up 4 a cheep as $270 now...

My friend got them on his crx turbo which ran 11.7at 126mph... when he ran that time he had about 250kw at the front wheels and the motor was build in the back yard... nice 1..... so that might give u some idea about your car down the track. any way if ya want real tyres buy these's 1's i've got these on my car. A 180sx in japan has these tyres on his car and ran 10.6... no sh*t.. it is the fastest street tryes car on 1/4 drags in it area in japan

intresting.. ill look into those nitto tyres!
but any semi slick i buy, will only be bought for the front tyres.. the rear will still be normal 19's cos of cost, and really, with a FWD car doing all the pulling, steering etc, there is no need for expensive tyres on the rear...
cheaper if anything, means handbreak 180's become cheaper  :bowrofl:
or not..

no u have to put the same on all 4's....if you r spending that much money on grip.. it would b nice if the front griped as well as the rear 4 street.... other wise your ass will just go and go... cause the front will grip but the rear wont keep up...

got your credit card handy
hehehe... i see your piont tho.
actually looking into a set of ultralight 17's for the track... quite cheap, $298 per rim, and tyres around the same..
but bah!! too many things to buy, not nearly enough money  lol

Booya,
I think if you did it, you'd be keep up with the 'new car trend'. (by my books a trend is something which only one person/car/object has to do it to become a trend) For instance: Look at any stock Chrysler Crossfire and you'll see 18s on the front and 19s on the back! or was it 19s and 20s? WHo cares. They're diff sizes. It's slightly obvious if you stare at it for a while but not instantly obvious. I also agree with practability over looks!
..and still i voted for the third option :P

If the 18" tyres with grip are that much cheaper than the 19s, get 18s all round with the cheaper but stickier rubber. Sell the 19s to finance the change back. If people think there isn't that much difference in the look of 18s to 19s, then you will only be reducing the 'wank' factor of saying, "I've got 19s on my car, ner ner ne ner ner!" I looked at a Lexus ES300 with 19s on the weekend, and the brakes looked ridiculous inside. I know you are making/have made your brakes bigger, but if they fit in the 18s, then do the whole swap. Nobody is going to buy two 19s off you, so you will just have them laying around.
With that much power, think of the grip before the looks. Your car already looks the goods, but it's no use if it can't get the power to the ground, 'cause then I see it as rice.
