i like alpine. so im biased. Type S is not their best sub, but it would do the job fine

i like it! D Class amps are great and is perfectly matched to that sub (slightly overpowered but thats not a bad thing) if ur after a nice increase in bass without rattling the car 2 pieces would b a good choice, but also i agree the Type S isn't they're best. i have heard a civic make over 140dB out of 2 S types tho!

i've heard of that package making close to 140dB. its all in how u box it.

Dude for similar money you could also get the MRP-350 350WRMSx 1 @ 2ohm + a new type - S SWS1242D DVC 4 ohm 300WRMS. Also keep in mind that the new version of the MRD-M300, the MRD-M301 is $599 and produces 50WRMS more than the older model, 350WRMS x1 @ 2ohm total. Try and get a bigger discount on the stuff in the summer catalogue above by going to them and saying that it is "old stock" and "that you would be doing them a favour by taking it off there hands :D ". Or ask them to give you the same price for the 2004 gear lol .

The amp is fine but I wouldn't have that sub as a gift (and I sell them :( ).

Mate from back in highschool was running the Type S in a 0.5cf sealed box in the back of his VK Wagon (He knew f all about car audio).. Enough said... See if you can pay more to get a TypeR.

That looks good, i'd take alpine gear over Cadence any day of the week. Spend a little more again, and get the type r sub tho..
