There's a write up on ther home page which explains their concept... http://www.pulstar.com/
Like most biggest/bestest/world's#1 things, I'll always have my doubts of their claims.
Even if they were better, I wonder what their longevity would be like?

They've got a 4 year warranty.

well one issue i see is either the way the spark plug is only an ignition point. Meaning i doubt you'll see a spark of 100A or 1000A make any difference in performance as the mixture will still ignite from the same point, its more dependant on the layout of the mixture.

the people that made them probably thought of the idea along the lines of how a msd multispark coil gets better ecconomy. if the standard ignition is working how it should no igntion upgrade is going to make you acheive more economy without a mixture adjustment

Jaguar released an old v8 back in the day was tuned to 17:1 as massive amounts of work was put into swirl and fill rates of the chamber to best achieve flame propagation and ultimatley ecconomy

Not to mention the "Splitfire" plugs of a few years ago. These had a split fixed electrode like a y shape and were touted to be the greatest as well. You know take over the industry etc. Funny that NGK & Champion are still the two main manufacturers and splitfire has disappeared. If your ignition system is in good condition then no wonder plug is going to change anything imo just another sales pitch to get you to part with your hard earned cash.

i should say it was their economy v8 engine. I beleive it was a 4.2L v8 that made around 380hp and acheived something along the lines of 10km per litre...which is crap but good for that particular setup. Apparently they only ran a very small number of engines since the price of making the engine put the cost of the car up to much for its class
