an Fm Modulator might be an option for you???

Belkin used to do a pretty decent one for the money...

I thought the 380 GT had Bluetooth capability. If so, update the software on your iPhone to the latest version (3.1 I think) and that will give the iPhone full Bluetooth functionality. It should then detect the car stereo and allow you to use it for playback.

We needed to upgrade our Iphone software and then it worked great with the Lancer Bluetooth.

Do it - do it now.

Can you pair the iPhone with any other Bluetooth device (eg computer or another mobile) and can you pair another mobile with the 380 ? That will isolate where the problem lies (car or iPhone)

Re: FM modulators, they aren't that great, I got lots of interference and poor sound quality out of mine. It's now in a pile of junk in the garage.

What were you using?

All of the ones I have ever used have been great...
(except for one I paid $25 for it was complete crap)
but the ones that have been made specifically for the I-pods never had an issue even when the aerial was down.

Are you able to suggest a make/model for a decent FM transmitter - Belkin? (sorry for the thread hijack).

Paid $90 for a Belkin FM transmitter, the one you plug into the lighter hole and then sit the iPod/iPhone in (Belkin - TuneBase II FM Transmitter and Charger). Couldn't get any clear FM channel in Melbourne, all frequencies had interference especially in the CBD around tram lines and the sound quality was very poor. Switching to Bluetooth the sound improvement was 1000%.

BELKIN Tunecast with ClearScan
Its around the $80 -$90 price point but is more of a universal Transmitter...
You will need to check if it suites your I-pod..
Using it on a 2nd Gen Nano..

Around Metro Area's they all seem to have some interference but on the open road they have been fine..

Blue tooth is a far better option if it is available to you...

um, cant play music thru the stock bluetooth. as far as im aware. the 6 stack does have a ipod cable available but i dont know if this will work with the iphone. can get these from the US but they arent cheap ~100$ ish search should show a few threads on them. fm trans is the cheapest i would think by far. depends if you are mega picky about quality, though i guess should be ok if you are planning on using the stock headunit.
