View Full Version : Oxygen Sensor
Anyone replaced their oxygen sensor with a Bosch one before?
Any tips?

Lots of penetrating oil and a blow torch is about all the advice you should need :D

Does it have the plug on the end or do you need to solder the wires?
If it has the plug then it is a simple change over. The Sensor itself is located just forward of the Cat and the plug is on the passenger side below the centre console. Just need to pull the carpet away and it's virtually right there.
Its a universal Bosch sensor... So I have to cut original plug and attach to it.. Has anyone done the same?
I just hope that I can get the original sensor off without too much drama... I guess just spray wd40 and let it soak in for a while...

Not Bosch cos Bosch doesn't supply "original" part for it, Mitsu seems to use NGK, which I bought for 125 bux few weeks ago from Burson. Cost at Mitsu would have been 225....
Direct fit etc.
Note, read Bosch website for instructions how to install the generic oxy - no soldering, no cutting wires etc. Otherwise it's an easy job to do.
