Woohoo, I finally did it. I have now got audible cues for the ks verada factory keyless entry/
alarm. I bought a chirper and connected the +ve wire to pin 1 of the remote receiver unit and
connected the -ve wire to pin 20 of the remote receiver unit. It now chirps twice when locking
and chirps once but for 3 seconds when unlocking.

Doh, I junped to conclusion without fully testing it. It works but it also chirps when the doors
are open. Need to look into it further. Spent lots of hours on the weekend lying in the boot
fiddlig with the remote receiver unit. Anyone have a spare connector for the receiver unit? Will
make my job much more easier.

Just backprobe the connector with needle probes? You could also unbolt the receiver from the parcel shelf and not have to contort yourself in the boot to work on it... I gave up on my factory alarm the first month I bought the car and put an aftermarket system in.
