Hey Guys
Im wiring up some lights for my interior with a 2 prong toggle switch, Ive just got a diagram made by a friend but it doesnt look right and i dont wont to risk anything. Anyway this is the diagram, is it ok to do it like this, are there any better ways.

the way i would do it is:
earth the light then run a cable from (+) light to one side of switch then another cable from other side of switch to (+) either battery or other source, that way when the switch is on it connects the circuit, off it breaks the circuit
EDIT: the way thats set up the light will have constant power and when the switch is turned on it will connect (+) to (-) which is bad!

That light will be on no matter what position the switch is in as its connected directly to the 12v......

In fact if you wire it up as per that diagram, when you turn the switch on you will blow the fuse for you cig lighter as it will basically be touching the power onto an earth point.

That light will be on no matter what position the switch is in as its connected directly to the 12v......
actually the light will be on until the switch is closed and the fuse blows :oopssign::bowrofl:
