You will notice the slightest vibration but barely anything
The only advantage is no more chain rattles as it is the balance chain that causes these rattles

Got mine removed and don't notice any vibration I say go for it but think you need to change the oil pump so the cost of that may change your mind.
When Mal rebuilt mine it was pretty stuffed so opted to remove the balance shafts and chain and replace the oil pump as I thought it was also good insurance to have a new oil pump with a rebuilt engine

to eliminate the balance shafts
you need to fit a TP oil pump.... best get a new one
A little chain in the elimination kit (approx $40)
drives the oil pump off the crank direct
the engine is a lot quieter when this is done
decided not to remove balance shaft as chain and guides look fairly new. the only prob now is getting the motor to fire up, but theirs a few probs in this dept atm, should have just sold the thing as its been jinxed with problems since the day i bought it.

Mine is a TP but can you remove the balance shafts with the engine in place? I guess the upper one would be the trouble.Cheers Vee
