I've picked up some seats from i think a TE. want to fit them to my TR (both sedan). any problems I will run into? special things I have to do to get them in? trying to find any problems i might have before I just go ahead and try to wack them in. Yes, i have stopped modding the tr, but these were a steal and are for my own comfort.

figured i'd ask while i'm still around

Cheers guys

edit: just found an old thread, sorry guys for a repost. a few bits of info there about just sticking some tech screws through the car body for the rear. but meh, any new info, feel free to share

yeah fronts bolt in, rears something with the tabs at the back need to be bent or someting but thats the only hassle you'll have mate

2nd that. Back bit where you sit on will need two screws through the clip-in tabs into the floor metal (you will see what I mean).

Other than that it's sweet

got them in, only thing i'll need to do is something about the tabs as you mentioned.

do you mean put screws through the tab that pokes down itself horizontally and into the metal? like bridging the gap between? at the moment i just have it sitting in there, is reasonaby secure without anything for now anyway. looks gooood.

still need to clean them up a little, but much better than my sagging 2nd gen seats.

very easy, 4 bolts on each seat, the rears the bitch. worthwhile changeover for low cost and effort, they seem to sit a bit higher, meaning i think i'll have to fix my rooflining now because it hangs on my head.

another question about the third gen seats, my 2nd gen seats have the underseat tray and rails, are these interchangable? or do I have to get a special third gen set? im a big fan of the tray and use it a lot, would be a shame to lose it.

Not sure.... im pretty sure the trays look the same through so it might just work

I would be interested to know, so keep us posted

will give it a shot tomorrow and let ya know. loving these seats more and more every time i look into my car, even though they're still just grey stock seats, they bring the look of the interior up so much. just the newer style, now if only i could afford faux leather.

There was a full sports interior at Pick and Payless (Blacktown) yesterday but it might be gone now.

by taps do you mean the plastic bits at the front of the back seat? i actually didnt end up doing anything, they're not moving around at all as they are so figured i wouldnt worry about it for the time being.
